Youth Ministry

The junior high years can be confusing, difficult, and challenging! But they can also be awesome! Through Sunday classes, weekly outreach, monthly activities, annual trips, retreats, and programs, the teens at LBC are challenged and equipped to live for Christ while they are in their youth. Each year, the teens can look forward to camps, trips, outreach events, fun activities, and many opportunities to grow in God’s Word. We do everything within our power to provide the Bible-based wisdom that teens need, combined with the friendly atmosphere that teens enjoy!

Children’s Classes

We have Sunday Schools for all of ages that meet at the same time as the Adult Sunday School classes @ 10 A.M. on sunday mornings. Afterwards they will attend their very own Childern’s Church Service. Meet one of our greeters in the hallway that will take you and your child to where they will be meeting.

Children will not only learn the importance of God and studying His Word but will also be encouraged to interact with other kids to help develop social skills and strong friendships.

The Children’s Ministry creates environments where kindergarten through sixth graders become fall in love with the Lord and connect to those around them. “Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8

Everything the Children’s Ministry does is centered on growing kids’ love for the Lord. We want our kids to have a deeply rooted love for the Lord.  Love that leads them to passionately follow Him whether days are good or bad.  We want our kids to know God and trust Him. All that we teach is centered on the nature and character of God.

Patch The Pirate Club is an exciting ministry where Children learn to sing, memorize scripture, hear stories and learn to draw closer to Christ.

History

How does one turn cancer in an eye and the subsequent loss of that eye into a blessing to the glory of God? Back in the early 1980′s, a noted Christian male vocal Soloist named Ron Hamilton did just that.

After the surgery in which his cancerous eye was removed, he was given a patch to wear. Kids innocently identified the resulting image as that of a pirate. Rather than becoming bitter, he recognized their perception and enthusiasm as evidence of a unique opportunity from God. And so, the ministry of Patch the Pirate Clubs Began. Today, these clubs for boys and girls, ages five through twelve, are flourishing in churches and Christian schools around the country.

Goals

The purpose of the clubs is to help children come to Christ, grow in His love, and establish godly character and habits by the time they reach their teen years.

Teen Choir

Teen Choir

Our Teen Choir meets Sunday evening after church and Wednesday evening after church. They do a great job and have been singing for serveral months now. Come and hear them sing as they sing during our Sunday Evening Service.

Visitation

A visitation and soulwinning program is a vital part of a local church.  Our church has soulwinning and visitation at 6:30 pm on Thursdays and 10 am on Saturdays. Plan to join us as we invited people to come to church, visit the sick, share the gospel and do our best to reach Grant County for Christ.
