Be prepared to hear inspiring music, helpful teaching, and dynamic preaching. Below you will find answers to many of the questions you may have as a guest at our church.

You can’t miss our church on the corner of Kem Road and Miller Ave. We are located right across the street from the License Branch. We have greeters at the door to help you with where to go and what classes are available for you and your family. We have something for each age group.

There is no strict dress code to attend our public services, but in case you’re wondering, a majority of our church members wear their “Sunday best”. We encourage people to dress in their best for the Lord. We want to make you feel welcome though no matter how you are dressed.

What is available for my children and teens?

LBC provides services and activities for youth of all ages. They will learn Biblical principles through age-appropriate teaching and experience tons of fun at the same time!! Nursery services are also available for all services. It is an exciting and memorable time for everyone!

What should I expect from the worship service?
Great traditional congregational singing, Adult and Teen Choir, special music and practical preaching from God’s Word.
Every Sunday morning and Sunday evening, the main Sunday preaching service is held in the Main Auditorium with Pastor Ronald Hon. As you walk in, a friendly usher will greet you and be available to help you find a seat and answer any questions you may have.

We believe in having a church service with uplifting hymns and spiritual songs that will stir and inspire you, prayer, and practical preaching of the Word of God from Pastor Hon.

Singing and Special Music

Every service gives you an opportunity to join us in singing hymns and spiritual songs. Each pew provides song books for you to use, which are available in the song book racks located under every chair.

You’ll enjoy the music as our adult choir sings. We also have many ensembles, youth choirs, and singing groups throughout the services.

We are a church that believes in prayer. Throughout the service prayers are led by different men. Some of these prayers deal with the needs and requests of our church family and friends, while others simply praise and thank God for His goodness and faithfulness.

We consider the preaching of the Word of God to be the best and the most important time of the service. I Corinthians 1:21 reads, “…it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.” We believe that the best help you can get in any struggle of life is from the Bible and that preaching is that help.

At the end of the preaching, Pastor Hon will ask everyone to stand and will give an invitation. This is a time for many to respond and make a life-changing decision by walking down the aisle and praying at the altar. A decision may be to trust Jesus Christ as personal Saviour or to become a better Christian. Whatever your decision may be, the altar is open to you to join many others who will make decisions.

If you would like someone to pray for you or would like to make your decision public, men from our pastoral staff will be by the altar to pray with you and help you.

After the invitation is given, we may have a baptism time at the end Sunday service. Those who have trusted Jesus Christ are baptized by immersion, making it as easy as possible to be baptized immediately after you get saved. However, we do not believe you can be saved by baptism. We provide two baptisteries areas, one for the ladies and one for the men.

If you would like to be baptized, make your way to the altar, and men from our pastoral staff will be available to assist you.
